Santa Sessions

Santa is coming to town and visiting with Christy Wilson Photography! Join us on December 1, 2019 from 12-2pm for an intimate session with Santa. Children can sit with Santa and tell them about all the things they want for Christmas.

Avoid the long lines at the mall, the over priced print packages and strict no cell phone rules. During your Santa Session with me, each family will have up to 5 minutes with Santa. During this time, feel free to video the session for your memories. I will be sure to get as many shots of your child/children as I can and deliver 5 edited images to you within 3 days of your session!

December 1, 2019 from 12:00-2:00

$150 for Up to 5 Minutes and 5 Edited Images

SESSION INFORMATION: Each session will last approximately 2-3 minutes, give or take. The reason for this is NOT to rush you, but to get the best out of each child. Some children are fine in just a minute with Santa and some take a few minutes longer. I take however long we need to create a collection of images up to my standards. This may mean 1 minute and it may mean 5 minutes. Please note that once a baby or child begins crying or melting down, they often are not able to recover, so I do my best to photograph quickly, again not to rush you, but to give them the least amount of anxiety.

BE PREPARED: Please note that each Santa session is scheduled so that you will have a minimal wait time in the studio, separate from Santa, but a few minute wait may occur. It’s best to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time, so you are not rushing from parking. Please plan to spend anywhere from 15-40 minutes total in the studio that day.

IMAGE DELIVERY: A digital download will be provided within 3 days of your Santa meeting. Babies and children only. Up to 4 children are included (must be siblings). Please schedule 2 slots for more than 4 children. Cousins may schedule two slots together and combine sessions for individual photos and cousins together.

Zacharey + Corrine | Downtown Nashville Wedding

Planning a downtown Nashville wedding is a dream come true for so many couples. Making that wedding come to life is magical! Let me tell you that Corrine and Zacharey were the most dedicated bride and groom in making sure that their Nashville wedding was one of a kind. Their wedding day gave way for me to really dive into the fine art photography that I truly love to offer my clients.

The big day started with the bridal party getting prepared in two of the most gorgeous suites at the Lowes Vanderbilt Hotel on Nashville’s west end. Each suite had wonderful lighting and neutral colors that portrait photography craves. The energy in the room was so warm and vibrant with smiles all around. Right away I could see that Corrine and Zacharey surrounded themselves with a tightly knit group of family and friends to be with them in these special moments. When the bridal parties were dressed, we ventured outside and on to a quick but refreshing stroll right on to the Vanderbilt University campus. Walking to the chapel for a wedding was such a pure and unforgettable moment!

Zacharey and Corrine met here at Vanderbilt where they both attended school. This is the place where it all started, where they kindled a relationship, where they walked together as students, and where they fell in love. It seemed only fitting to begin their life together as one at Benton Chapel at Vanderbilt. The Chapel itself commands a certain attention with its beautiful architecture, stone steps and stained glass windows (just to name a few details). There seemed to be a calming and peaceful energy around everyone there as we took advantage of this beautiful June day. With the magnolias in full bloom, the happy couple walked throughout the grounds of the University outside of the Chapel. It was as if no else was there, like it was just the two of them hand in hand once again on the same campus where they had walked together a hundred times before. Only this time it was different.

Keeping with the spirit of having a true downtown wedding, the celebration carried over into one of Nashville’s favorite Broadway spots, Acme Feed and Seed. And what better way for the bridal party to arrive to the reception than on a party bus! You read that right. As a Nashville wedding photographer I’ve had lots of firsts, but a stylish party bus arrival takes the cake. Yet this was only the beginning of an unforgettable reception and an unforgettable night. A live band welcomed guests to Acme’s rooftop bar for a fun filled cocktail hour. There were so many great rooftop moments that Corrine and Zacharey got to take in along with family, friends, old college roomates and fraternity brothers. Togetherness was the word of the evening as the celebration continued in a stunning reception area where an amazing buffet of delicious favorites were waiting for the guests. Speeches were made, music was playing, and the dancing never stopped. Corrine and Zacharey gave everyone a celebration to remember. I’m certain that they keep the memories of this day as close to them as those quiet walks where it all began. Congratulations to you Zacharey and Corrine! And thank you for the memories.

Brown Family | Nashville Newborn Lifestyle Session

Nashville Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

The Brown family is now a family of three, and that means I get to share some more newborn baby photography with all of you. I was once again invited to shoot this family lifestyle session at their gorgeous home in Mt. Juliet just outside of Nashville. The Brown’s home offers the best natural lighting! I seriously can’t get enough of it because I knew that their home would make it easy for these modern newborn portraits to turn out to be breathtaking. Recently, I had the honor of sharing their gorgeous maternity session, and now that beautiful bump is a beautiful baby! Anna and Austin proudly welcomed their newborn baby son, Theodore, to the world and I couldn’t wait to get a glimpse of him. Anna and Austin are very dear friends of mine and I feel incredibly honored to get to be a part of the sweetest moments in this family’s journey.

Theodore melted my heart each second I spent with him. I loved that he opened his big beautiful eyes to check out what was going on around him. When he looked up at mom and dad it seemed to make time stand still for them. Here is this precious human being that they made looking right at them. Anna and Austin may not have the words for these moments, but they certainly have the photographs that say it all! Whether he was resting in his cute little onesie or making his toes peek out of his swaddle, Theodore made this the cutest, cuddliest newborn baby session this year!

Becoming parents for the first time is exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. The first few weeks of a newborn baby can leave you speechless in the best and worst ways. But every parent will tell you that no matter the journey, it’s worth it. Having a lifestyle session like this is so important because it reminds you of when it all began and how far you’ve come. The newborn baby stage seems to go by so fast. I am overjoyed that Anna and Austin trusted me to capture just some of those fleeting moments. This is a beautiful family with a beautiful story and timeless portraits to cherish forever. Welcome to the world baby Theodore! I’m so happy to let you take a glimpse at some of these portraits.

Jon + Cassie | Belle Meade Plantation Wedding

Spring Belle Meade Plantation Wedding with their dog the golden doodle in the wedding wearing a greenery covered leash

Jon and Cassie’s Belle Meade Plantation wedding was definitely one of my favorite Nashville weddings of the spring season.  The Belle Meade Plantation checks off all of the boxes when it comes to finding a truly iconic, Nashville wedding venue. And for a fine art photographer, a location like this is a true gem.

Jon and Cassie’s affection and motivation for one another could be felt be everyone there. In their own words, they are the kind of couple whose ideal date night is, “cooking a romantic meal together with music on in the background and a bottle of wine to share.” Sometimes, simple details like that are all you really need to know about someone. Jon and Cassie’s appreciation for each other and the people around them was a truly pleasant experience on this unforgettably romantic wedding day!

As we all know, you can make outdoor plans and Mother Nature will sometimes grin as she spins them. Just moments before Cassie and Jon were due to walk down a gorgeously detailed ceremony lawn, rain began to pour. And pour. And pour. Well, you can’t stop the rain, but the rain can’t stop the Riggs! Without missing a beat, the staff, wedding party and guests prepared for what turned out to be a gorgeous ceremony located in the Belle Meade stables. The stables at this estate offer an intimate and wonderful glance into the true architectural beauty that this plantation is known for. And the hanging lights, soft florals and string instruments provided a softness to balance it all.

Luckily for me, Cassie and Jon were incredibly easy to work with even in the rain! I was able to capture some uniquely beautiful moments between these two. It was so exciting for me to have the chance to grasp these images on film. And guests were soon invited to join the happy couple for reception in the Belle Meade barn. It didn’t take long for the rain to let up and everyone was able to let their hair down and enjoy the music, the food, and the cocktails.

It was easy to see that each of the guests were genuinely happy to be a part of this beautiful celebration. And I was honored to be there to seize these sweet memories for them. I wish all the best for Jon and Cassie. I know that this day will leave an impression on me for a long time to come. Here is a glimpse into this one of a kind Nashville wedding.

Thomas + Caitlin | Allenbrooke Farms Wedding

Nashville Wedding Photographer | Allenbrooke Farms sweet and romantic wedding with blush, blue and soft purple detailsThe Barn at Allenbrooke Farms is one of Nashville’s true gems for those seeking a genuine Tennessee wedding experience. This beautiful venue is perfectly tucked away among the iconic hills and tree lines that Tennessee is known for, and why I absolutely love getting to shoot at this Nashville location! Between the hanging lights and the unforgettable floral arch, the ceremony lawn was a real magical treat. The barn also offers a stunning blend of rustic yet soft appeal as its tall wooden ceilings are delicately draped with linen that cascades from side to side. All of the uniquely chosen details inside and out, make this such a fun place for both photographer and couple alike!

Working with Caitlin and Thomas was the icing on the cake for this perfect wedding day! These two are truly dedicated to each other and it shows. They connected strongly to one another during the entire day and it was such a lovely thing to capture. When asked how they would describe each other in their own words they mentioned, “Supportive, genuine, trustworthy and goofy!” I loved the honesty in that and after getting to spend so much time with them, I couldn’t agree more. From Caitlin’s twin sister to Thomas’ sweet mother, the incredibly strong bonds between each other and to their families was at the forefront of this union. And families like this make my job easy and keep the energy light and fun!

The details of this gorgeous Nashville wedding seemed to be endless. The beautiful green grass, trees, and florals poured out from the ceremony lawn. After the ceremony ended, guests were encouraged to throw beautiful rose pedals as the bride and groom walked hand in hand back down the grassy aisle. Cocktail hour kept the energy flowing with live music, signature drinks and a yummy biscuit bar. Soon after, guests enjoyed the beautiful barn reception where Thomas and Caitlin were showered with the sweetest words from their family and friends as they gave their speeches, truly memorable moments for all. The dining table settings for this reception are easily some of the most stunning I have ever seen. The smells from the beautiful buffet invited all of the guests to bite in. Don’t even get me started on the decadent donut table! (That’s a sentence I don’t get to use very often.) And, of course, there is no better way to top off a darling wedding than to dance the night away! No one was too shy to dance that night and the guests danced all the way to the very last song!

These are the kind of weddings that photographers dream of. I’m just so happy that I was asked to be a part of this enriching opportunity. Being invited into someone’s space, their world, their wedding, is a truly humbling experience and I don’t take it for granted. I wish nothing but the best for this wonderfully devoted couple. Congrats, Thomas and Caitlin!
